Last Updated: Monday, October 25th, 2004 HOME | Previous Page I�ve forgiven Mohammed, says Anisulowo By David Atalese Special Correspondent, Ado-Ekiti   The Chairman of the Senate Committee on States and Local Government Administration, Mrs Iyabode Anisulowo says she has forgiven Senator Isa Mohammed who assaulted her recently in Abuja. Fielding questions from reporters at the weekend at the launch of a N500 million community development fund at Erijiyan Ekiti, in Ekiti West Local Government of Ekiti State, Anisulowo said, �As a Christian, I would not be able to pray if I did not forgive him�. She stated that the action of Mohammed really touched her but as a Christian there was nothing left for her to do other than to forgive him so that she would be able to pray to God. Anisulowo also told reporters that the time has come for Nigeria to sign the protocol on the convention on all discrimination against women stressing that Nigeria has endorsed the convention but there was the need for the country to sign the protocol. She explained that women in Nigeria could only protest internally and until the federal government signed the protocol no single woman in the country could protest at international level against discrimination.
