Governor James Ibori of Delta State, on his part has reiterated the willingness of the Niger Delta governors to partner with both   the Federal Government and NDDC in the area of financing the project. Managing Director of NDDC, Chief Emmanuel Aguariavwodo made the call in Asaba yesterday while presenting a 15-year   regional masterplan for the development of the Niger Delta spanning 2005 to 2020. He also spoke on the proposed coastal road saying that "sometime at the executive council meeting, it was mentioned and the   federal Minister of Works said there was a plan that dates back to more than 15 years ago for a coastal road and the president   said bring it up, but we (NDDC) have not checked how far they have done with that for now."
