Barely one week after a Senator slapped a colleague, a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Iquo Minima, Wednesday, walloped the House Committee chairman on Police Affairs, Hon Emmanuel Bwacha, at the same spot where senators Isa Mohammed and Iyabode Anisulowo almost engaged in fisticuffs.

Hon Bwacha completely lost his balance as the impact of the dirty slap from the heavily built female member shattered his eye glasses to smithereens.

The event was witnessed by the leaders of the House who had come out to see off Speaker Bello Masari.
House leader, Abdul Ningi, Chief Whip Bawa Bwari and other principal officers watched in dismay as the female lawmaker hit Hon Bwacha.

Pandemonium ensued when Hon Bwacha in anger made for Hon Minima to retaliate but was prevented by the leaders who formed a ring round her.
Members of the committee who were returning from an outside engagement said they were taken aback by the action of their colleagues as they were all in friendly mood throughout the trip.
"The reason for the fight is best explained by the actors because we were all in a friendly mood. I don’t know if they had personal scores to settle but this is a disgrace" a member of the Police Affairs Committee said.

Honourable members and few security personnel who equally watched the drama made effort to prevent Hon Bwacha from talking to newsmen but he managed to mutter: " Well, I can not tell you anything on what happened. All I can say is that she slapped me and everybody saw it."
Hon. Bwacha was later taken to the office of the deputy speaker, Austin Okpara to cool down and regain his breath.
