Shekarau, Adegbite Laud Muslim Students Lagos By Sheriff Balogun Governor Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano State and eminent lawyer, Dr Abdul-Lateef Adegbite, have commended the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN)'s achievement towards raising the standard of Islamic practice in Nigeria, which has continued to rise. Alhaji Lateef Adegbite, Pioneer President of the society while delivering lecture in commemoration of the society's golden jubilee, gave thanks to Almighty Allah for the take-off of MSSM 50 years ago, its spectacular achievements and continued relevance. He said the celebration is obvious when it involves person whose activities in life affect the society positively and has proved to be a fertile ground for leaders in diverse spheres of life. He said it is a source of quality manpower for virtually every Muslim organisation, being at the forefront of Islamic propagation (Dawah) in every corner of the country. Shekekarau who is the special guest of honour said the MSSU has promoted unity and understanding in the society, adding that, understanding your religion is when you know your stand in life, which led to the progress of our brothers and sisters in Islam and other religion.
