Emir Tasks FG on Economy From Segun Awofadeji in Bauchi Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Suleiman Adamu, has observed that the Economic Reform Agenda of the Federal Government if well implemented, will further boost the socio-economic development of the nation and create a conducive atmosphere for foreign investors to operate. Adamu, Chairman of the State Traditional Council, made the observation when he granted audience to members of the House of Representatives' Committee on Banking and Currency, during a courtesy call at his palace in Bauchi. Adamu noted that the responsibilities invested on them was enormous, as they have the constitutional functions to pass laws and resolutions, and evolve pragmatic policies aimed at meeting the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians. He urged the lawmakers to work tenaciously for the economic growth of the country. He pointed out that considering the economic hardship in the country, there was the need for government to take drastic measures towards revamping the nation's ailing economy. The Emir who commended the National Assembly members for their mature ways of handling national issues and their cordial relationship with the executive arm of government, appealed to them to continue to work for the peace and stability of the nation.
