Probe Panel Chairman Dies From Dipo Okunmuyide in Ado-Ekiti Chairman of the Judicial Panel of Enquiry set up by Ekiti State Government to probe financial activities of the past administration of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the state, Justice David Foluso, Babalola, was reported dead on Tuesday. Family sources and close associates informed THISDAY in Ado-Ekiti that Babalola has been suffering from stroke since 2002. Babalola would have been appointed the Chief Judge of the state early last year but for his illness which informed the decision of Otunba Niyi Adebayo-led administration to appoint Justice Bisi Omoleye. Although the cause of his death could not be immediately ascertained, sources close to the judicial panel said he had been indisposed which necessitated adjournment of the panel indefinitely last week. Another source at the panel informed THISDAY that the deceased who travelled from Akure, to Ado-Ekiti daily to attend the sitting of the panel was rushed to the hospital on his arrival at his home in Akure last week. Mrs Ali, wife of the state's counsel to the panel of enquiry, Mr Yusuf Ali, also died in a ghastly motor accident recently. The late Justice Babalola, 64, hails from Otun-Ekiti in Moba Local Government of Ekiti State.
