Anambra Initiates Contempt Charges Against PDP For swearing-in Emordi as State chairman From Chuks Okocha in Abuja Anambra State has initiated contempt charges against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the election and swearing in of Chief Uchenna Emordi as the state Chairman of the party despite pending court action. A Senior Registrar from the Anambra State High Court, Mr. Humphrey Ikeako yesterday served a court order form 48 (Consequences of disobedience to court order) to the members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for their recognition of Emordi as the Anambra State Chairman of the party. Justice J.O.Ernest Egbuna of Ogidi High had Monday declared the election of Emordi as a nullity. The court orders were served specifically on PDP Chairman, Audu Ogbeh, the National Secretary, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, the Deputy National Chairman (South) Shuiab Oyedokun and the National Legal Adviser, Col Yohana Madaki. The bailliff, Ikeako, could however not serve the National Vice Chairman (Southeast), Chief Fidelis Ozichukwu the court orders. He was not around when others were served. When Ozichukwu arrived the National Secretariat of the party, Ikeako claimed that he refused to be served. The bailiff also claimed that he was forced down from the second floor of the party office to the ground floor. When contacted Ozichukwu said, "I have no business with the politics they are playing in the state. I never come in contact with the bailiff let alone assault him."
