Muazu Advises FG on Excess Crude Revenue From Segun Awofadeji in Bauchi Bauchi State Governor, Dr. Ahmadu Adamu Mu'azu, has tasked Federal Government to utilise the excess oil revenue by investing it into areas that would improve the lives of the teeming population of Nigerians as well as enhance the socio-economic status of the nation. Mu'azu, who gave the advice when a Presidential panel to the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Bauchi, charged Federal Government to make good use of the huge revenue accruing from windfall to develop human capacity which is required for the much needed national development. The government was called for prudence and transparency in the management of the oil revenue, adding that "realising the objective should not be difficult for us, especially if we tighten our belts, there is no doubt that we can do better for our people." While restating the determination of his administration towards the upliftment of the living condition of the people of the state, he added that towards the realisation of this goal, the state government had evolved some poverty alleviation programmes aimed at alleviating the level of poverty in the state.
