Daniel, Ogbulafor, Others Get Leadership Award From Chuks Okocha in Abuja National Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel, his Nasarawa State counterparts, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu and the Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode were among Nigerians honoured in Ghana for exceptional leadership qualities by the West Africa International Magazine. Other Nigerians honoured were the wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Remi Tinubu and the Chief Chaplain to the President, Professor Yusuf Obaje. In his acceptance speech on behalf of the recipients, PDP scribe called on African leaders to demonstrate sufficient political will and tolerance to fight poverty, squalor, disease and ignorance. According to Ogbulafor, "this challenge is for the elite represented by the various governments in our sub-continent to demonstrate uncommon will to confront the monster of unemployment through genuine collective action." Ogbulafor said the West African sub-region has enough potentials to transform its environment, if the right things are done." He noted that he was always alarmed when he read that over half the population of citizens of the sub-continent are surviving on less than half a dollar a day, explaining that this pose a great challenge to the elites of the region.
