Community Chides College over Provost's Suspension Ikale National Youth Forum (INYF), the umbrella organisation for all youths from the Ondo Southern nationality, has accused the Ondo community of plotting the recent suspension of the provost of Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Dr. Reuben Adeboyeje, as part of the ground design to prevent any Ikale man or anybody from the southern part of the state to head the institution. The forum described as false and framed up allegation of financial impropriety levelled against the provost. The group expressed surprise that the Education Minister, Professor Fabian Osuji, believed the lie and the plot without any investigation. He summarily suspended the provost. Speaking in Lagos, national president of the forum, Mr. Segun Metufo, recalled that when the Ondos observed that they could not stop the appointment of Adeboyeje, an associate professor of education, they resorted to using their sons and daughters who constituted the highest percentage of the institution's staff to forment endless crises, so as to make the college ungovernable for the provost. INYF leader noted rather sadly that the Ondos using Masters Yemi Olugbade, T. A. Omolade, Akingbola, Olusan and Mrs. Olabode had continued to precipitate the unrest that threatened peace and stability on the campus.
