NATIONAL NEWS PDP did not win 2003 guber election in Anambra— Chris Uba By PAUL ODILI Sunday, September 12, 2004 THE political fight between Chief Chris Uba, the self acclaimed godfather of Anambra state, and Governor Chris Ngige worsened further in the United States during the meeting of World Igbo Congress (WIC) last Monday when Uba allegedly declared before Anambra indigenes at New Jersey that the PDP did not win last year’s gubernatorial election. Rather, Uba was said to have disclosed that the election was clearly won by All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).  Uba, Sunday Vanguard gathered, told his audience “that 90% of the votes for governorship was won by APGA and not PDP.” Confirming this development to Sunday Vanguard on phone, Mr. Oyibo Achebe, Chairman of Anambra/Enugu Association of New Jersey, said that Uba who came with his supporters presented documents and video clips of his several agreements with Ngige, maintaining that the PDP did not win the election, but that he used INEC to secure victory for the party.   Sunday Vanguard also learnt that at the high table with Uba as he addressed Anambra people were Hon Chuma Nzeribe, Chief Obinna Uzor, Hon. Jerry Ugwoke, Chief Dan Ulasi and Chief Joseph Okonkwo. Achebe, who was the moderator at the Anambra caucus of World Igbo Congress, said Uba dropped the bombshell during the question and answer session that followed the presentation he made, which included video clippings of Ngige at the shrine. Uba, while bemoaning his present face-off with Ngige, was quoted as saying that what the Anambra Governor is facing now is nemesis, because he did not win the governorship election.
