Linkserve invests $2.3m on VSAT nodes Stories from Zakariyya Adaramola, in Lagos Apparently struggling to remain the leading Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the country, Linkserve has invested the sum of $2,300.000.00 on about 500 VSAT nodes in West Africa sub-region. A statement signed by the company’s corporate affairs, marketing and development manager, Mr. Uche Oji, said Linkserve said the implication of the investment is that the 500 VSAT nodes would offer its numerous customers rapid deployment of superior, well-managed and competitively priced end-to-end VSAT solution, including high speed broadband direct internet access. Mr. Oji said, as a foremost ISP company in Nigeria, Linkserve investment in acquiring a hub in Homdel, New Jersey, United States of America, was in line with challenges in the industry and the desire to continuously seek ways to improve its business. He said that with the level of experience and practical understanding of the market, Linkserve has structured its VSAT solutions in a manner that corporate, small office and home users as well as cybercafes can benefit. “Today, Linkserve is the only company that can provide VSAT solutions across board to all customer segments without stressing their networks. Most other providers are today selective in other not to expose the fragile nature of their network,” he said.
