TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER, 14, 2004           Lawan Dambazau remembered 4 yrs after By HASSAM MUHAMMAD A THREE-YEAR special prayer for the repose of the soul of late Malam Lawan Dambazau has been offered in Kano. A veteran politician in Kano state since the era of NEPU, late Malam Lawan Dambazau had bred groups of political personalities in Kano who presently hold various positions of authority in the country. His contributions in the political cycle not only in Kano but in national political development will continue to be remembered. Offering the prayer at the session, Malam Ashiru Gadar Salga prayed for Allah (SWT) to forgive the mistakes of the late Dambazau and grant him Aljannatul Firdausi. Malam Salga also prayed for the deceased�s family, the people of Dambatta, the state and the nation at large to continue to bear the fortitude of the irreparable loss. Malam Salga along with other Ulama prayed for peace, stability and mutual understanding not only in Kano but in the nation as a whole. Present at the prayer session were Alhaji Aliyu Ilu, Turakin Sarkin Bai, Dr. Umar Jalingo of BUK and Alhaji Lili Gabari who chaired the session.
