TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER, 14, 2004           Police free 3 suspected human part dealers Bauchi state police commissioner, Alhaji Muktar Abbas, has released three of the four suspected human parts dealers, who allegedly plucked the eye of a 10-year-old boy in the state. Abbas told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi that the three suspects were released for lack of evidence. He recalled that the three suspects who were arrested two days after the incident, had been incriminated by the fourth suspect, now certified to be insane by medical experts. �Since it has now been certified that the principal suspect is insane, it is unfair to continue to detain the other three suspects incriminated by him,�� the police commissioner explained. Abbas, however, said that the principal suspect, Ibrahim Sule, 29, was still being held by the police, �to enable the command trace his relations for possible medical attention��. NAN recalls that Sule had, during interrogation, claimed to have been recruited by a top politician to pluck the boy�s eye.
