TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER, 14, 2004           Fire incidents: Jigawa youth leader sympathizes with victims From OUR REPORTER THE chairman, National Youth Council of NYCN Nigeria Jigawa state chapter, Comrade Bello Jibril Dodo Babura has sent a message of sympathy to students of Jigawa state College of Education Gumel who lost their belongings as a result of fire incident that occurred at the school last month. Comrade Jibril called on the students consider the incident as a will of Allah and prayed for the avoid once of future occurrence. In another development, the chairman of NYCN has commended the Jigawa state Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Saminu Turaki for introducing youth acquisition centres in some local government areas of the state. Comrade Babura said youth in the state appreciate the noble gesture, which he described as timely, and a welcome development aimed at creating job opportunities to the teeming unemployed youth. He called on the state governor to extend it to other local councils to allow youth get enrolled into the scheme in view of its great importance. Comrade Jibril further highlighted some of the problems facing the union in the state that require the intervention of Governor Turaki, which include the provision of vehicle, enrolment of youth in vocational centres for various trades and the creation of job opportunities.
