ABUJA — Labana Glover Ventures clinched Nigeria Hotels Ltd, while CPL Agric Limited, emerged winners of the bid for Ore-Irele Oil Palm, at the bid opening in Abuja, yesterday.
CPL won the bid for Ore-Irele Oil Palm, after offering N533.4 kobo per share totaling N166.2 million to beat Godsmart the second contestant in the bid for the 300,000 shares or 60% federal government equity in the enterprise.
Similarly, Labana, in the second and final bid offered N350 million for Nigeria Hotels Ltd, to emerge winner above five other firms jostling for the enterprise.
The evaluation report of the review of the technical bids submitted by the duo of CPL Agric Ltd and Godsmart by the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) placed CPL ahead of its competitor as it scored 83.5%, while Godsmart scored 71%
Labana came third in the first round bidding when it offered N140 million after both Nigeria Ports Authority NPA and UBN Property Company Ltd which offered N300 million and N160 million respectively.
Labana turned the table against the NPA in the second round of bidding beating NPA to the second slot with its N350 million while Ports Authority offered N305 million.
