According to the chairman, House Committee on Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, Mr. Bunmi Olugbedo  the House had  in a special session held yesterday equally mandated the committee to find out the roles of the security agents and any other  persons or groups that may be connected and report back to it within two weeks. The lawmakers also recognized and appreciated the roles played by President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba  Rufus Adejugbe and his Chiefs, the Inspector - General of Police and the Deputy - Commissioner of Police for their prompt  intervention in the crisis. The House equally resolved to stand solidly behind the chief executive of the state, Mr. Ayo Fayose, assuring that it has  confidence in his ability in handling the matter effectively. The House however called on the state government to institute a judicial panel of inquiry into the assassination attempt of the  chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Government, Mr. Taye Fasuba immediately and bring the perpetrators to book. Meanwhile, the chairman of Efon Local Government area of the state, Prince Aderogba Agbaje has declared that the minor  misunderstanding between the state governor, Mr. Fayose and the chairman of Ado Ekiti Local government, Mr. Taye Fasuba  will soon be resolved,adding that the involvement of Mr. President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the executive of the Peoples  Democratic Party (PDP) would assist towards a speedy resolution of the crisis.   Home  |  Cover Stories  |  National Newsreel  |  Politics  |  Business  |  Sports  |  World  | Contact  | Advert Rates © 1998- 2004.
