Group Commends Monarch, Afikuyomi By Oghenekevwe Laba A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Ejigbo Indigenes and Non-Indig-enes Forum, has commended the Oba of Ejigbo, Moroof Ojoola, for his effort towards the development of Ejigbo town. The group equally commended Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi for his effort to redress the grievances of Ejigbo people. Making the commendation in a statement, Chairman of the group, Alhaji Tasiru Rabiu, said they praised the effort of Ojoola on his visit to Abuja, where he met with the leadership of the Ministries of Aviation, Petroleum Res-ources and the leadership of the Senate, to demand that Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) contribute to the environmental and infrastructural development of Ejigbo town, by building roads and maintaining safe and hygienic surroundings. The group noted the agitation of all the unions and associations at NNPC depot, Ejigbo, in support of the Oba's demand and enjoined NNPC management to announce how it intends to carry out its policy in this regard within the next 30 days. While praising Ojoola for running an open and consultative administration, they appealed to those who feel marginalised to approach the palace for clarification.
