Guinness Storms 8 Cities with BlackGold Concert

Basking in the euphoria of success recorded during the hosting of Jamaican-born hip-hop musician, Jean Wyclef and other Nigerian musicians in the BlackGold concert, Guinness Nigeria Plc has concluded arrangements to commence the BlackGold tour in eight cities across the country.
Speaking to newsmen at the weekend, Marketing Director of the company, Mr. Ekwunife Okoli, said the tour, which kicked off on September 17, is expected to last till November.
"This means Nigerians and our loyal consumers would be treated every weekend to best of Nigerian music back to back," he said.
Represented by the Brand Manager, Guinness Stout, Mr. Kene Obimma, Ekwunife explained that the tour is Guinness contribution to the growth and development of Nigeria's indigenous music and promotion of Nigerian artistes, adding that "Guinness Stout, our flagship brand would continue to use entertainment as a platform to reward and compensate consumers who have kept faith and absolute loyalty to the premium stout beer over the years."
He noted that the company decided to take the celebration in a road show to Asaba, Benin, Enugu and Aba among others in order to make our consumers feel the excitement and great taste that can only be got from Guinness new bottle.
Ekwunife said the tour was going to be "as grandeur and big as we had in BlackGold concerts in Lagos, Port harcourt and Abuja," stating that "people should just see it as another BlackGold concert without Wycleft Jean."
Explaining that the show would assemble the best of musicians in each of the cities to entain our consumers, Ekwunife observed that "the launch of Guinness Stout new and unique bottle was the biggest in terms of conception and execution in recent times in Nigeria."
He added that "the series of launch events we put together redefined brand communication with our consumers and we are indeed happy with the feedback we are getting from them since the introduction of the new bottle."
The marketing manager expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Performing Musician Association of Nigeria (PMAN) for displaying a strong will in terms of support and partnership while the first BlackGold concert lasted.
"We see you as partners in progress in our bid to contribute and be at the forefront of rapid social and economic development for Nigeria," he stated.
