'We'll Fish Out Fake Drug Dealers' Kogi From Yinka Kolawole in Lokoja Kogi State government has expressed its determination to fish out all those involved in counterfeit and fake drugs in the state. Speaking yesterday at the inagurauration of the state Task Force on Counterfeit and Fake Drug and unwholesome processed foods in the state, the state Governor, Ibrahim Idris, noted that the government would monitor and deal decisively with anybody that endanger the lives of their fellow men. The governor, who charged the committee to handle their responsibility with honesty of purpose and seriousness it deserves, added that they were appointed based on their track record of service. He urged them to resist any temptation of bowing to pressures from wicked elements in the society who would not hesitate to produce poison for their fellow human beings. The governor who commended National Agency for Food, Drug and Administration Control (NAFDAC) for its efforts in combating fake drugs in the society, appealed to those who toy with the lives of their fellow beings by producing unsafe drugs and food items to desist from this singular act.
