First Wireless Marks Anniversary, Grants Customers 50% Discount
As part of its first Inde-pendence anniversary celebration, the estimated 10,000 subscribers on the new MTS First Wireless' CDMA2000 1X network, will from Monday, September 27, 2004, enjoy discount of 50% if they choose to buy an additional phone line in the network.
In a programme tagged 1st Wireless @ 1st October Offer, the company said it is encouraged by the kind of response it has received since it launched the network in August, and would use this opportunity to show appreciation to these customers that have shown support and friendship.
In the offer that last from September 27 to October 7, 2004, subscribers in the network will have the chance to buy additional phone line and activation for N6, 500, which is a 50 percent reduction from the current cost of N13, 000 for the standard Kyocera 2255 handsets and line obtainable in the First Wireless CDMA2000 1X network.
The offer requires customers to show evidence of ownership of the first lines purchased before September 24, 2004, before they are allowed to buy the second line. The offer is also limited to one new phone per line already purchased by the subscriber. On buying the second phone the customers entitled to this largesse will be required to load credit of at least, N1, 000 which will automatically offer them additional credit of N500, to give them a total credit of N1, 500 on the new phones.
Subscribers can obtain these services at the IMB Plaza Corporate Office of First Wireless, or at its Ikeja Customer Care Center at 12 Kudirat Abiola Way, by Alausa End, or from any of its distributors.
Head of Corporate Affairs of MTS First Wireless, Mr. Reuben Muoka, said the company is elated by the show of solidarity given to her within few days of launch and is therefore returning this appreciation by way of special discount to the customers, and to give them an opportunity to buy phones for their loved ones as Nigeria marks her 44th Independent anniversary on October 1, 2004.
