Adamu Flags off Tourism Season Nasarawa Following the Federal Government's declaration of October to March each year as Tourism Season, Governor Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa State will tomorrow flag-off the season at the Farin Ruwa Falls in Wamba Local Local Government Area. A statement by the governor's Special Assistant on Media, Victoria N Ikeano, listed other activities lined up for the season as including a three-day Festival of Masquarades slated for between October 8 and 10 and a wrestling Festival scheduled for between November 26 and the first week of the new year expected to attract art practitioners nationwide. The falls is one of the most captivating tourism spots in the country. Its scenic beauty often holds visitors spell-bound. Nasarawa State is among the eight states whose Chief executives are members of the Presidential Council on Tourism. At the last meeting hosted by Nasarawa State, Obasanjo, after watching a video clip of the Falls described it as an exciting and enchanting tourism spot. The state government is providing a number of social facilities at the Farin Ruwa Falls, including a golf course as part of its tourism development plans.
