Maltina Cycling: Adamu Consolidates By Femi Solaja The shape of who may be the likely successor to the position of Osaze Owens as the new national cycling champion may have started emerging, following the domination of Morris Adamu of Borno State so far in the ongoing Maltina Cycling Tour of Nigeria. The tour, which entered third stage in Maude over the weekend, saw the young cyclist still dominating the proceeding in the Individual Classification Score with a total of 29 points since the race was flagged off in Kaduna last Thursday. Like it happened last year when Owens dominated the proceeding from the beginning to the end, Adamu has vowed to maintain the trend that will enable him wear the Green jersey for a longer period more than other cyclists. "My coach had worked on me very well and am very optimistic that I will dominate the race till the end and considering the fact that am in top form will further enhance my ambition," said Adamu after been decorated with the Green jersey for his performance in Makurdi. While Adamu is dominating in the Classification, Aniagolu Timothy from Yobe State is dominating the pace in the Individual Time Trial score with a limited time score of 7hrs 7mins and 13secs at the end of stage three in Makurdi.
