Leventis Group Honours Olympic Heroes Honour and recognition comes for Nigeria Olympic heroes, as the Leventis Group today, rolls out the red carpet for athletes and officials who won medals at the just concluded Olympic Games held in Athens Greece. Also for honour are several other Olympians who have equally brought honour to the country at the games since Nigeria went to the games for the first time in 1964. The event, which will be held at Grand Hotel Asaba, the Delta State Capital is the first time the Nigerian Olympians are being singled out for honour by a corporate body in the country. The event is expected to bring together dignitaries across the country including the cream of the sporting world and top managers and Directors of the Group, which is made up of CCHBC NBC, Frigo Glass Industries. The idea for the event according to a statement in Lagos, Leventis Group decided to honour the Olympians as a mark gratitude for their contributions, promote a sense of national pride, achievement and indeed the bet ideals of the Olympics. According to the list of those for honour at the event, are the face saving 4x100 metres men relay team Egbele Aron, Deji Aliu, Olu Fashugba Ude Emedolu, the men 4x400 relay team Musa Audu, Enefok Udo-Obong, Saul Weigopwa including officials at the just concluded Athens games.
