Agip denies supplying helicopters to security agencies
THE Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOC), an affiliate of Eni Group, has denied providing security agencies with helicopters for their operations in Niger Delta.
In a statement by the General Manager, Public Affairs, Akin Aruwajoye, yesterday, he said: "NAOC hereby denies the reports and claims in their entirety.
"The company has neither received any requests nor has it provided any helicopter for the use of any security agency in Niger Delta or any other part of Nigeria, for that matter.
"All our helicopters are licensed for civil use and re-deployed exclusively for the business of oil and gas exploration and production."
