Contractors in Ondo State
SIR: It has become standard practice for officials of the Ondo State government to continually sermonise on government's intention to pay contractors and sacked workers since the advent of the Olusegun Agagu Administration.
On several occasions, Mrs. Tola Awoh, the state Commissioner for Information during her weekly briefings has repeated the same promise over and over again such that it has lost value and meaning.
The truth is that the electorate is fed up with propaganda. The taste of the pudding is in the eating. Governor Agagu should stop punishing innocent contractors who worked for a legitimate government as well as victimised civil servants whose entitlements are being unnecessarily withheld. Enough of rhetoric, we want action.
