The launching  takes place  tomorrow. Essentially, the money would be used for the upgrading of obsolete  equipment, procurement of spare parts, building of a multi-purpose auditorium and purchase of production vehicles. Chairman of the governing board of the corporation, Chief Francis Mpamoh told newsmen that sourcing for the fund had  become necessary because the station’s operating capacity had dropped from 30 kilo watts to eight kilowatts which, he added,  had made BCA to lose some of its listeners and viewers. According to him, BCA is about the only station in the country operating with analogue equipment, adding that part of the N100  million would also be used to build a modern studio for the installation of two transmitters of 20 kilo watts each procured for the  station by the state government.
