Glo Mobile Launches ProfitMax Glo Mobile yesterday launched ProfitMax, a product specifically targeted at the Commercial Telephone Operators in the country. The company's Executive Director, Miss Bella Adenuga, said the primary aim of the product is to reduce unemployment, one of the major concerns of government, adding that with the launch of ProfitMax, unemployed youths now have a viable option of starting their commercial telephone operation with minimal investment. At the launch held in Lagos, the National Coordinator of National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) Mr. Magnus Kpakol, commended the GSM service provider for its national responsiveness, saying ProfitMax is one of the initiatives the company is taking to enable Nigerians become self-reliant. "Globacom deserves a lot of commendation for its national responsiveness and the speed the network embraced the idea of collaborating with NAPEP to fight poverty is amazing," he said. In a goodwill message at the launch, Shell Petroleum Development Company said it was delighted that Globacom, a Nigerian company, has taken the issue of poverty alleviation more seriously than other networks. "We are delighted that Globacom is a Nigerian company. We reached out to other telephone operators on the issue of alleviating poverty in the Niger Delta area but only Globacom responded. It is only a Nigerian company that can appreciate the urgency of the situation in the Niger Delta," the oil company observed. Explaining the benefits of ProfitMax, Adenuga said a starter pack of the product is available to customers for just N4,999, in addition to a free airtime of N500 which is part of Glo Mobile's 1st Anniversary Offer.
