Italian Delegation on Trade Mission Kogi From Yinka Kolawole in Lokoja A delegation from the Province of Sicily in Italy is now in Kogi State on a six-day trade mission. The visit was a response to the recent trip by Governor Ibrahim Idris, to Italy to canvass for foreign investment. The delegation, led by Grasso Giovanni of the World Promus of Italy, according to the Special Assistant on Public Affairs to the Governor, Mr Faruk Adejoh will hold talks with the boards of the ailing state-owned Jakura Marble Factory and the Idah Sanitary Ware on ways to salvage the industries. This mission, Adejoh further disclosed, will discuss with officials of the Kogi Chambers of Commerce, Mines, Industry and Agriculture on the proposed industrial park, while it also explores the possibility of establishing a granite mining industry in a scheduled talks with the state Ministry of Solid Minerals Development. Other areas to be explored, according to Adejoh, includes market development, road construction and water supply.
