While the world were celebrating Christmas and other religious festivity, a young mallam was busy thinking on how to comitte carnage and inflecting a horrific cruelity to his follow human beings. But what I would like to know is what possessed him to even contemplate on doing what he thought of doing. Another thing I would want to know is what has Al Qaeda or the Talaban ever done for the Islamic Republic of Nigeria or should I say the Islamic Arewa Republic to make a young man well in his prime to think of killing himself and other innocent people. Like the elders of my people wisely said, "The thought that a person who wanted or took his or her own life, they didn't think that in a day".
Is it just me, my blood is boiling and screaming for us to get out of Nigeria. I have never been more ashamed of being called a Nigerian as I am right now. That country has been tanished first by the criminal system known all over the world as "Nigerian scam system", known in Nigeria as the infamous "419". Then came the drug barons and their money launders; now we have added suicide bombers, which took the biscute out of it and to me should be the final nailing in the coffin of this entity known as Nigeria.
So brothers and sisters I think the time has come for us to make a serious representation to whatever body of the UN, for us to be allowed to carry out a referendum in all the areas and territories known as The Republic Of Biafra to see who wants to join us in getting the hell out of the British forced union. Enough is enough of our being grouped and branded like the assassins who we have been forced to share a country with, despect the fact we have nothing in common. Brothers and sisters the time have come for the voice of the Igbos to be heard. Since the creation of this entity we know as Nigeria, how many times has anyone heard of the Ibos going bersek and killing people, I've never heard of it because to the Ibos life is sacred. But not same to our neighbours, as history has shown. The first republic failed due to the riot that started in the West, not long after the North decided to copy them and their blood thirstness resulted in the death of hundreds of thousands of Ibos.
Don't get me wrong I'm not advocating for another war, but this time around I believe we could go by the way of diplomacy. And I believe we could achieve the rebirth of our own Biafran nation "The Land of the Rising Sun", without shoting a round. I blieve where there is a will there is a way. I don't like being grouped as a suicide bomber just because one crazy mallam has brought out into the open for the world to see what they've been doing to the Ibos. From now on I'll like to be known as a Biafran.

Land of The Rising Sun
Land of the rising sun, we love and cherish
Beloved home, land of our brave heroes
We must defend our lives or we shall perish,
We shall protect our hearts from all our foes;
But if the price is death for all we hold dear,
Then let us die without a shred of fear.

Hail to Biafra, consecrated nation,
Oh fatherland, this be our solemn pledge:
Defending thee shall be a dedication,
Spilling our blood well count a privilege;
The waving standard which emboldens the free
Shall always be our flag of liberty.

We shall emerge triumphant from this ordeal,
And through the crucible unscathed well pass;
When we are poised the wounds of battle to heal,
We shall remember those who died in mass;
Then shall our trumpets peal the glorious song
Of victory we scored oer might and wrong.

Oh God, protect us from the hidden pitfall,
Guide all our movement lest we go astray;
Give us the strength to heed the humanist call:
To give and not to count the cost each day;
Bless those who rule to serve resoluteness,
To make this clime a land of righteousness.

Timing is everything my friend, if there is ever a time to declare the independent State of Biafra, it's now. This young chap may just have handed Ibos there independence, but again people are too busy jutting from one club to another (WIC, Ekwenche, several local mtgs, etc.) insulting each other to gain another silly title!

Yes, the west is busy on two fronts in the east, but our cause can finally be tied to GWOT (global war on terror) which am sure will be supported by the west...even by the brits or their current campaign will loose credibility!

But again, the mallams aided by myopic yellow bellies have successfully attacked and decimated our center of gravity (unity and education), so we maybe a lost people for many more years to come!

You may be right KHA, but not doing anything now we've been handed the opportunity will be a sin and cruel to our children. It is true back home Ibos are selling their souls to please and buy favours from both the hausa oligarchi and their yoruba clingons and at the sametime lament on how we're being denied of our place in the Islamic republic of Nigeria. Again I'm surprised not to have heard anything from brothers and sister who in the past have expressed grivances about our blood thirsty neighbours but kept silent at what's happening. Brother Biafrapoint1 your opinion is needed here,for together we shall overcome the vandals.
