In addition to my angry topic of the stupid spoilt brat whose father for decades have been stealing from the country where infant mortality is one of the highest in Africa, just to make life easy for his ungreatful son. Abdul Farouk Umar Abdulmutallab is a 23-year old student of engineering at the University College in London, England. His father must be paying close to �20,000 to keep this boy in the university in London while Nigerian students back home suffer so much lack and are denied basic college tools, but this boy who had shown heavy signs of intolerance in the past a la Maitasine of Northern Nigeria, felt it was time to stage a one man madness act of religious war against the American people! The situation before us is a microcosm of the situation in Nigeria and the problems facing Nigeria. An unwilling student with a father who is part of the Northern Nigerian Oligarchy that control the oil resources of Southern Nigeria, Abdul Farouk Umar was shipped off to Dubai a few years ago from where information has it that he opted to be ostracized from his family due to his demons of religious rashness. But suddenly the boy ended up in London where his father has a house and was enrolled at the University of London. The brainless boy has lived a very easy and smooth life that is unknown to most Nigerian young men and women. He has not known hard work and lack. He did not have to work in London, has been saved from menial jobs in London and he did not have to worry about where to live and how to get his school fees paid. He is a privileged brat from a society where his father's Oligarchy is responsible for the poverty of the rest of the nation, and he lives in a flat in what the BBC referred to as a "mansion block near Harley street in Central London" that "sell for between �1.5m and �2.5m" and this has residents wondering how a student could afford to live in such an exclusive location. His father has been chairman of the once government owned leading bank, the First Bank of Nigeria for years, probably nearly 10 to 15 years, without merit or hard work; only for his membership of the Northern Oligarchy. The boy failed to realize that the madness of the Maitasine, the group of Northern Nigerian fanatical Muslims who kill and maim hundreds of Nigerians of Christian faith at will and with the tacit support and encouragement of the Hausa dominated Nigerian government. There have been several terrorist Maitasine attack in Nigeria and the American Embassy in Nigeria is very much aware of them and the inaction of the Nigerian government that followed each of them. Abdul Farouk must have seen the impunity at which the Maitasine terrorists, a strong Muslim extremist group in Northern Nigeria freely and rashly killed innocent and defenceless women and children because they are non-Muslims. It is a capital crime punishable by death under the strict and rigid Sharia laws of the Maitasine to be anything but Muslims, so the Maitasine just take it upon itself to kill infidels at will. That obviously set the stage for Abdul Farouk to replay the Maitasine act on the international stage. He packed chemicals into a syringe and tried to detonate his explosive device strapped to his leg before courageous passengers overpowered him. Abdul Farouk told American investigators that he was acting on instructions from al-Qaeda. Abdul Farouk was probably not thinking straight and not bothered by what will happen to him. He expected his father and the illicit wealth they have accumulated to deliver him. When the news broke that a Nigerian had attempted to bomb a jetliner in the United States I knew immediately that he must be from the Northern part of the country where religious intolerance is at its peak, and where sectarian violence has been a way of life with Boko Haram, a militant Islamist group killed more than 700 people between July 26 and 29, 2009 across four cities in north east Nigeria including Bauchi, Maiduguri, Potiskum and Wudil. Boko Haram attacked a police station in retaliation for the arrest of its leaders and went on rampage that resulted in the destruction of homes and properties. Before Taliban there has been the Maitasine religious sect with its history of violence and carnage. The Maitasine sect is not about to go away any time soon and the Northern Oligarchy liked to keep it for religious and political reasons of inflicting chaos on the rest of the nation. The Southern part of the nation is a mixed blend of religious beliefs where you will find Muslims and Christians in the same family who eat from the same plate, dance together, share the one home and are almost inseparable as cousins, siblings, in-laws and relatives. Every Yoruba family is proud to have all religions imaginable represented; some inter-marry across religious lines and live together in peace and with mutual respect. It was only during the short time the illiterate Raji Rasaki was dashed the governorship of Lagos State that he and his sidekicks brought religion intolerance to the South and used religion as a weapon. But Abdul Farouk is on the wrong side of history and he will face long term imprisonment in the United States. The international community should be told that religious terrorism did not start with Osama Bin Laden. The Muslim fundamentalists in Nigeria, the Maitasine and Boko Haram are well ahead of Osama and al-Qaeda, but the West just did not feel concerned about it since the killings and religious intolerance have been confined to Nigeria. If Abdul Farouk had detonated a bomb in Nigeria he definitely would have gone unpunished and free. As long as the Northern Oligarchy controlled Nigeria any one of their own will get away with anything. Unfortunately for Abdul Farouk he is going to be prosecuted and spend the rest of his life in jail. It has been said by lawyers that Abdul Farouk faces roughly nine Federal charges.
All I could add is that all the religious killings in Nigeria is and continued to be aimed at the Ibos or anyone with a christian belief. And all this S.O.B has show the world is what the Biafrans have been going through since the British forced almalgamation and backings during the war. I hope any member of the Harold Wilson's government still alive today would look and see what they did and how they created the monster that has now turnedto bite their ass and give a bad name to every decent Biafran who has now been force to share in this horror. Because like it has been said, "It's one finger that touches the oil that smears the rest of the hand".
