Words cannot express the measure of this man's greatness. Decisive action and rare deeds punctuate his brief time upon earth. How many millions of lesser men have wished for his courage within their own breasts. Antagonists who opposed him shall never forget him. How much more shall those who loved him remember.
The passing of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu marks the end of an era for the Igbo people. Henceforth, and much more than in his life, he shall be enshrined with the highest honor in the collective memory of a grateful nation, as is fitting and right.
Forever farewell General Ojukwu.

My heart has been heavy for the last two days. I crying because I dreaded this day. I have wondered about this day, what Ndi Igbo will be after the exit of Our leader. I read where one girl said that Ojukwu was our Moses. Now can Ndi Igbo find a Joshua, or have Ndi Igbo condemned to lost in the wilderness. Who will go for us. The is not just the end of an era, this is the end of inspiration. The only who gave everything he had for the love of his people.

UMUNNEM Glad to read you all once again. Happy new year. I worried and feared this day.The day the only IROKO TREE standing in alaigbo fell. We have lost a great son, leader, and a man who cared about Ndi-Igbo. May his soul rest in peace. The good Lord will comfort all of us.
