CULT OF TRUE WOMANHOOD

I am a woman created
By the Almighty
From the rib of a man
To share God's loving

I am a woman Prepared
To guide humankind
To increase and multiply
And be faithful

I am a woman
With God's mercy
To serve dual functions
As woman and nurse

I am a woman
To labor and feel the pains
To nurture and wean
To counsel for growth

I am a woman
Whose place in mankind
Not cherished and appreciated
But I am strong

I am a woman
Coerced and destroyed
By men of lust and greed
But nothing will change

I am a woman
Demolished and plundered
For I am a woman
Strong and keeping the faith

I am a woman
With hope I dwell
A better life and wisdom
Giving all that I have

I am a woman
Caught by dominant men
To conquer and destroy
Because I am a woman

I am a woman
Weeping and emotional
For mankind is not fair
But my fate is passion

I am a woman
With love and passion
To be loved and adored
From the marrow of a man's bone

I am a woman
The Originator
The maker of mankind
A world of compassion

I am a woman
Seeking faith in the Lord
With plenty of blessings
To keep mankind alert

I am a woman
Toiled the land
Produced for humanity
Because God is good

I am a woman
Touching the heart
People to be free
To be who we are

I am a woman
God made us in his kind
To love one another
And to show love

I am a woman
Without gender lines
Because God is love
To be kind and caring

I am a woman
The Alpha and Omega
The paradise regained
For men and eternity

I am a woman
battered by men
But strong and becoming
For not moral outrage

I am a woman
Keeping up with the rule
Of men and tryanny
But I am strong and loving

Because I am a woman
Who dwelled from place to place
In search of love and care
But I found none but malice

I am a woman
The cult of true womanhood
The mother and the nurse
Raising all on my own

I am a woman
Whose journey came afar
From the Biblical era
With time never changing

I am a woman
Shedding tears all night
Lonely and abandoned
Depressed in isolation

I am a woman
Touch my heart and feel
My sorrows, my anguish
My fears and worries

I am a woman
Upon all nations
I increased in abundance
In God's likeness

I am a woman
I want love
Unconditional love
Until eternity
