Ajasco, there is nothing new with this research. Women are happier but not for long. Statistics shows that women out live men 10 to 4. However, since women are becoming increasingly popular in the job market where aggressive behavior and success driven hormones is GQ, compounded by their biological incapacitation, [menses and hot flashes] the gap between happiness and longivity will shrink by 2015 with women slightly ahead studies have shown. I use the term slight ahead because of the biological differences. Yes it is true, women are happier than men because XX are proned to be aggressive, success driven and bread winners while XY are proned to be compassionate, house wivies and caring. Think about what aggressive behavior could do to your hormones. Beauty is relatively a discriptive term for XY and macho for XX. All these variables,compounded with other factors...makes women a happier sapiens than men.

It is a good, nay GREAT thing if women are on the average happier than men.
What kind of world would it be if women suddenly turned out to be overwhelmingly aggressive, fierce, inhospitable, intemperate or downright GRUMPY? That would mark the beginning of extinction for men!
Hey, in the animal kingdom, there are species of spiders amongst other creatures that seem to manifest a gender role reversal. Some species of spiders have its females bigger in size ( almost 3 or 4 times the size of the male), more agrresive, DEFINITELY STRONGER, and also more poisonous. Infact, to paint the picture clearly, the male is so weak and dimunitive in size when compared to the female of this spider specie that during mating, the male has to be extremely cautious or the female spider could literally eat it ( ingest it)!
