Once again the Passion of Christ has portrayed Jesus Christ as a white male. How does this reflect christianity as a true religion?. Jesus ethnicity may provide a good debate among members of the faith. And the passion of Christ is welcome in this context. However, it will be wrong, not to mention racism as the justification of Jesus as a white male. This white image is disturbing indeed. When a black male plays Jesus in the movie, he is referred to as Black Jesus, limiting the true message of what Jesus actually stood for. Why is that?
The Portrayal of Jesus as the image of white with sandy hair comes primarily from European medival and Rennaisance, champoined by the Catholic church and painted by the Europe's most famous gay artist, MichealAngelo. Jesus was infact a person of color and that color is not white. This white image is, of course wrong. Jesus was Hebrew and ,thus a member of the Sematic race. The Hebrews claim decent from the people inhabited what is now Northern Saudi Arabia and Southern Iraq. The physical appearance has changed little since. Therefore it stands to reason that Jesus had the same dark olive and black hair typical of most Semitic people of color. Why do we consumately force to believe that Jesus is white and hung on the cross instead of the tree? It is in every churches and your bedroom. Whats your take??????????

How can you be so sure that Jesus Christ is black? do you have any prove to back up the cliam. If Jesus Christ was Jewish as we read from the New Testament(Bible) and other history books. Then, he has less than one percent chance of been born black.

Nwabiafra......> Jesus Christ is not black, that is depending on your definition of black. Records in the bible indicates that he is a person of color with olive skin and woolly hair. I am pretty sure that he is not black or white but remains a person of color.
OKWY : To be Jew has nothing to do with color. You can have brown, white, olive,or black skin still a Jew. Jew is enthnocentric rather than color.

This question is asked & heard by many What color is Jesus Well Jesus reflects in all of us, I say He is many colors . Are we not the reflection of Christ ? So be it known He is many colors for He leaves no one out. Whoever the artist is at the time when painting Christ, reflects his thoughts according to the way they believe Jesus may have looked Altho many artist have different paintings We all seem to know who the man in the painting is . Jesus has many faces If we are in search of Christ, reguardless of color when we find Him we will know exactly who He is For we will be enlightened, to come to the conclusion of inner truth. Which brings us to a simple, well known phrase ... My Lord & My God Upon saying these words you cannot go wrong for it will be been instilled within you, at the percise moment. When such a grace is given So when you hear the words who do men say that I am? You , yourself will know. Exactly who He is

If Jesus was black, his message would have been killed and buried. The religion started after him would not have gone anywhere thank you very much.

I don't care if Jesus is a lily-white redneck. I just know what he accomplished. He abolished the law of sin and death and instituted the law of the Spirit of life. He is alive today and doesn't care one bit about how you look on the outside. He suffered so that you would not have to suffer and offers us life of joy and peace without any end. We wait only for the redemption of our bodies, for at that time our mortal bodies will be changed and be like his is today. Those who refuse such a wonderful and gracious salvation will have no excuse. Don't be a fool. Learn about the Lord and live. Which of you(other than trained doctors), can feel a part of your body and know how it is put together and how it works? Will you be such an idiot as to think that you are put together by chance? Study the Word and patiently seek an understanding of all your questions and doubts, and the Lord(Jesus) will reveal all those things to you, because He is gracious and kind and extremely patient. Don't gamble with your life. You only have one. I hope all Muslims will at least investigate what I am saying to see whether it is the truth, or not.
