Amid Rumors of Hausa-Fulani Step Down Ultimatum: IBB Secretly Meets Baba Iyabo President Olusegun Obasa-njo and former military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida yesterday held a one hour deliberation at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Babangida, who arrived the Villa at about 2 p.m. dressed in a light brown babanriga with a matching cap and leather slippers, had first made for the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Lt-General Aliyu Mohammed Gusau (rtd) where he spent about 30 minutes. He later proceeded to the office of the President accompanied by Gusau and the Minister of Justice, Mr Kanu Agabi. Both Gusau and Agabi left him as soon as he entered the precinct of the President's office. Efforts by State House newsmen to find out Babangida's mission either through him or Presidency sources were futile. When he departed the Villa at 4.15 p.m, the following ensued between him and State House newsmen: Have you made up your mind on who to support in the presidential election? Tinubu lambasts Conduct Bureau   Iraqis Must Run Post-Saddam Iraq   Army in Sight of Baghdad says U.S. Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Lagos State yesterday said that the Code of Conduct Bureau erred in pronouncing him guilty of breaching constitutional provisions, saying that the action amounts to misuse of federal agencies to intimidate political opponents. (Daily Independent)   Britain,main coalition partner in the on going Gulf war, said yesterday that a post-Saddam Iraq must be governed by Iraqis themselves, amidst speculations of a rift between London and Washington over who takes charge after the fall of Saddam. (This Day)   Coalition forces say they have advanced to within sight of Baghdad's battered skyline and have faced little resistance from Republican Guard units which have been bombarded by daily airstrikes. Coalition troops had moved within 20 kilometers (12 miles) of the center of Baghdad.... (CNN)
