of casualties...Iraqi TV has broadcast pictures of at least four dead American soldiers and several prisoners...The
film is said to have been shot in Nasiriya - where the Americans say they are meeting tougher than expected resistance,

GIANTS IN BIAFRANGERIA RETREAT
French oil company Elf has scaled back operations
in BiafraNigeria's oil-rich western Niger Delta, amid increasing tribal violence in the area. Some production
facilities were shut down and employees evacuated after at least four people were reported killed in an attack
on a company facility. The US oil company Chevron Texaco has suspended operations in the delta. Anglo-Dutch company
Shell said it had deferred production of 175,000 barrels per day - out of a capacity of more than 1m barrels -
and had warned customers of delays in deliveries of crude. Villagers fleeing the violence say dozens of people
have been killed in clashes between soldiers and rival gangs..... (BBC)
