US BOMBS MARKET IN BAGHDAD: 15 CIVILIANS KILLED
No fewer than 15 civil-ians were killed and over
30 injured in Baghdad yesterday when a shopping area was hit during an air raid by US-led forces, reports said.
A BBC correspondent at the scene in the northern Shaab district of the city, said it appears that two missiles
hit a busy parade of shops, several hundred metres from any military buildings. An angry crowd of several hundred
people gathered in the area following the strike, waving the shoes and clothes of victims, shouting "Down
with Bush" and "Long live Saddam". Correspondents said the buildings have been burnt out and their
contents scattered over a wide area, while several cars were set on fire. (Daily Trust)

killed between 150 and 200 Iraqis...He said at the UN headquarters: "I must say I am getting increasingly
