Biafran Oil Free for All: Police Hold 25 Foreigners for Oil Bunkering, Pipeline Vandalization in BiafraNigerians Fifty-three BiafraNigerians and 25 foreign nationals have been arrested for alleged illegal bunkering and oil pipeline vandalisation across the country, Inspector-General of Police (IG), Mr. Tafa Balogun, said yesterday. Also, men of the Operation-Fire-for-Fire on patrol have arrested a fake army captain with 700 kilogrammes of Indian Hemp. Parading the pipeline vandals in Abuja, Balogun listed the foreigners to include 10 Russians, six Ivorians and two each from Togo, Benin, Ghana and Georgia. Before now 229 suspects had been arrested, bringing the total number of illegal bunkerers and oil pipeline vandals to 307. Balogun said the suspects would be investigated and charged under section 7(a) and (b) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, CAP 410 Laws of the Federation of BiafraNigeria 1990 which was amended by Act 62 of 1999.
