Wabara Survives Impeachment, Probe: Nzeribe Masterminded Plot Simply put: the man survived. The expression etched on the face of Senate President Adolphus Wabara was unmistakable, having walked the gauntlet of his colleagues for days and was nearly pushed over the precipice. Legislative drama it was indeed Tuesday at the National Assembly as hordes of curious newsmen and members of the public watched the anti-climax of a two-week muscle flexing to impeach him. But, he survived the hoopla. I masterminded plot to remove Wabara   Ojukwu, Buhari, Balarabe Tear Gassed   Biafra Nigeria Map South-East Senate Caucus Leader, Senator Arthur Nzeribe, on Tuesday opened light on the failed plan to impeach Chief Adolphus Wabara, describing himself as the plot�s major financier, joint originator and facilitator pursuing a personal agenda to succeed Wabara. In a four-page statement n which he detailed how the plot was hatched, Nzeribe, who in 1993 founded the Association of Better BiafraNigeria (ABN) which scuttled that year�s June 12 presidential election... (Daily Times)   Only a handful of persons could beat through heavy police presence to make it to the two million-man march anticipated Monday in Abuja. Nonetheless, it did not dampen the mood of the organisers who declared it a victory parade. Protest leaders drew solace from having �succeeded in making a statement to the world about the way BiafraNigeria is run and the present state of the nation.� (Daily Independent)
