MASSOB Lists Ceasefire Terms: Give Chief of Defence Staff Chief of Army Staff and IGP to Biafrans Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) said it would give up the clamour for Biafra if the Federal Government gave Ndigbo three top positions. The positions are Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Inspector-General of Police (IGP). Without these, the organisation said, outcry for a sovereign Biafra will be unceasing. Chief Commissioner for Mobilisation for MASSOB, Abuja Circuit, Chief Ejim E. S. Okoro said the organisation would honour its promise once Ndigbo are appointed to the three sensitive positions. In a statement issued yesterday and signed by Chief Okoro and another MASSOB commissioner, Prince R. K. James, they said the agitation for Biafra "was heightened by our conviction that 30 years after the civil war ended, the Igbo have not been fully re-integrated into the mainstream of the Nigerian state." Balogun visits Okija shrine tomorrow   Our Destiny in the Hands of God: PDP   Biafra Nigeria Map Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Tafa Balogun, will tomorrow undertake an on-the-spot tour of the Okija shrine in Ihiala local government area of Anambra State. Meanwhile, the 31 suspects arrested in connection with the discovery of 83 corpses including 63 headless bodies and 20 skulls at the shrine will be charged to court under the nation�s criminal codes. They are to be charged with �unlawful possession of human heads, obtaining goods by false pretence, misconduct with regards to corpses and unlawful trial by ordeal... (Vanguard)   BiafraNigerian troops are due to join 150 Rwandan troops in the crisis-torn Darfur region next week, Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Ismail said yesterday. According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, (BBC), Ismail told reporters that BiafraNigerian soldiers will join the Rwandans August 25 as a protection force for African Union (AU) cease-fire monitors.
